Unfortunately, we had to cancel 2020's Fashion Show Fundraiser due to health concerns around COVID-19. Thanks to our generous members and donors, we were still able to donate to these worthy beneficiaries who help Wilton so much:
-
Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County
-
Stay at Home in Wilton
-
Wilton Community Assistance Fund

Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County
VNHFC provides help to Wilton residents of all ages, whether you are recovering from surgery and would like a nurse to come to you instead of driving to the hospital, are reaching end of life and would like nursing care so your family can focus on sharing good memories, or many other services. VNHFC never turns anyone away, so your donations to the 2020 WWC Fashion Show Fundraiser will be used to help those who do not have the funds or insurance to cover these services. Whether for you or someone you love, let’s make sure these valuable services are available to all of us when we need them. Take a look at this video which explains the different ways VNH helps all of us at difficult times: https://youtu.be/Axyu3YxD8oY
Stay at Home in Wilton
https://stayathomeinwilton.org
Wilton is a welcoming community for all ages. Many people move to Wilton for the schools and then stay after their children have grown and moved away. Stay at Home in Wilton provides a vibrant community for older people of all ages and health levels, with social get-togethers, as well as help driving, shopping, and fixing things around the house, enabling many more seniors to stay in their own homes longer. They drive members to doctor appointments outside Wilton and after 4pm, a service no other organization provides. In addition, Stay at Home in Wilton connects with other groups in town, e.g. through its new Podcast series, “The Story Next Door.” The Story Next Door brings two generations together in conversation to benefit everyone and strengthen our community. Visit the SHW website above to hear this podcast, produced in conjunction with Wilton High School. Funds raised at the WWC Fashion Show Fundraiser will be used to cover dues for residents who are not able to pay, as well as for transportation for group outings.
The Wilton Community Assistance Fund
Wilton Social Services is the town department in charge of being there for all residents when we need a helping hand, whether with counseling, our food pantry in times of need, help with budgeting, and assistance of many kinds, including directing residents to federal and state programs available. At the end of the day, our neighbors may need local financial assistance for a short time, whether it be to pay for heat, housing, or other necessities. Donations at the WWC Fashion Show Fundraiser will go to this fund to help you and your neighbors when they need it most.
