Time commitment: 2 hrs per trip, every 4-8 weeks (Monday mornings), depending on number of volunteers

Working in pairs, volunteers drive to the CT Food Bank in Stamford to obtain meat and produce, and transport items back to the Wilton Food Pantry (Comstock).

Ogden House - Cooks for Senior Lunches

Time commitment: 4-5 hrs, two Wednesdays per year

Volunteers shop for and prepare lunch at Ogden House for approximately 30 Seniors.

Ogden House - Hosts for Senior Lunches

Time commitment: 1.5 - 2 hrs, 6 Wednesdays per year, depending on number of volunteers

Serve lunch to approximately 30 Seniors.

Thanksgiving Basket for Wilton Social Services - Supply

Time commitment: 2 hrs
-
Purchase an item for the WWC Thanksgiving Dinner Basket. The WWC provides Wilton Social Services with a basket containing everything needed to prepare and serve Thanksgiving Dinner.

Thanksgiving Basket for Wilton Social Services - Receiving

Time commitment: 2 hrs

Volunteers receive donated food baskets at Wilton Food Pantry and organize donations. Late afternoon volunteers help reorganize Pantry after drop-offs are complete.

Hot Thanksgiving Meals for the Homebound

Time commitment: 2-3 hrs, day before Thanksgiving

Volunteers each prepare a portion of the meal at home, then meet to assemble and wrap individual plates to be delivered to recipients.

Hot Holiday Meals for the Homebound

Time commitment: 2 hours, morning, December 24

Volunteers each prepare a portion of the meal at home, then meet at Ogden House to assemble and wrap individual plates to be delivered to recipients.

Clothing Center

Time commitment: WWC works on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month, 9:30-11:30am

Volunteers sort and hang donated clothing, help maintain the Clothing Center, greet donors and clients, issue receipts to donors, assist clients in selecting items.
